Common questions

It says "Unknown host key".

That is normal on the first connection. Check the fingerprint matches your server, then accept. If a known host's key changes, check with whoever runs the server before accepting.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hopshell → Cancel.

Host claude or host codex is not found.

Install it on your server and sign in there once. Hopshell runs the copy on your server.

Does Hopshell run AI commands for me?

No. Hopshell only puts the command on your line. You read it and press Enter yourself.

How do I move to a new phone?

Settings → Backup & Restore → Backup, with a password. Copy the file to the new phone and Restore. SSH private keys and API keys are not in backups; add them again.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstall Hopshell. Everything it stored is on your phone only. See the privacy policy.
